I don’t believe this is a Japanese layered steel knife - I own a lot of different layered Japanese knives, however the handle is beautiful and the balance isn’t bad. I do love that shape. I don’t know or think it’s vg-10. But doesn’t matter. Use it for daily professional kitchen use - electric sharpener - something I would never do with my true Japanese’s knives - so I love the stamp - shape and handle

Really Great Knife!

The knife I purchased is stunning. The design caught my eye immediately and I had to purchase due to the sale price - too good to pass over. While it did take a long time to arrive, I expected this since it was traveling from AUS to USA. It arrived in good shape and the blade is seriously sharp! Good weight to the knife and very well balanced. I normally go for my smaller knives (5-6" blades) just due to my own comfort level but this knife is such a pleasure to use I find myself reaching for it more often. Very happy I added this knife to my collection!
