I got this as a gift and it was their first 'better knife'. They've had it for over a month now and only have good things to say about it.

I just wish they came with sheaths for easier storage.

Not only such a gorgeous knife, but cut my barbecue meats so much better than any other knife!

Initially I purchased the smaller knife (Kaigan 67 Layer Japanese Damascus with Burlwood + Acrylic - Individual Knives 5" Utility and it's been excellent.
Then I came back for the Enkei Boning Knife boning knife (150mm). Both knives are superb. So sharp (be careful with them) and excellent quality handles and presentation. Highly recommended.
